2. Hosting and server log files


This website is hosted on servers of an external service provider: Host Europe GmbH, c/o Spaces, Gertrudenstraße 30-36, 50667 Cologne, Germany. The hosting provider processes data on our behalf on the basis of a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR).

Each time the website is accessed, the server automatically stores information transmitted by your browser:
  • IP address of the requesting device
  • date and time of access
  • page or file requested
  • previously visited page (referrer)
  • browser type, browser version and operating system
  • volume of data transferred and server status message

We process this data to provide the website, to ensure its stability and to defend against attacks. The data is not combined with other data. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the secure and trouble-free operation of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

The log data is deleted after 14 days unless it is needed to investigate a specific security incident.

Data transmitted between your browser and our website is encrypted (TLS, recognisable by “https://”).

 

Cookies are small text files that your browser stores on your device.

Necessary cookies. We use cookies that are required to operate the website, for example to store your cookie choices and, where applicable, your selected language. Storing them on your device is based on Section 25(2) no. 2 of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG). The subsequent processing is based on our legitimate interest in a functioning website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Other cookies. We only set cookies that are not technically necessary with your consent (Section 25(1) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). We currently do not use any analytics or advertising cookies.

Cookie banner. We use the WordPress plugin “CookieYes” to ask for your choices. The plugin stores your decision in cookies on your device for up to one year. The legal basis is our obligation to be able to demonstrate consent (Art. 6(1)(c) in conjunction with Art. 7(1) GDPR). The plugin runs on our own server.

You can change or withdraw your choices at any time. You can also delete stored cookies in your browser settings.

 

4. Contact form, e-mail and telephone


If you contact us via the contact form, by e-mail or by telephone, we process your details in order to deal with your enquiry. These are your name, your e-mail address, your telephone number where provided, and the content of your message.

Mandatory fields in the contact form are marked as such. Providing the information is voluntary, but we cannot answer your enquiry without the mandatory details. The form data is sent to us by e-mail.

Legal basis. If your enquiry relates to a contract or an offer, we process the data to take steps prior to entering into a contract or to perform a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Recipients. The data can be accessed by our employees who handle the enquiry and by our technical service provider acting as processor: Host Europe, which hosts this website and is also our e-mail provider.

Storage period. We delete your enquiry once it has been dealt with conclusively and no statutory retention obligations apply. Under German commercial and tax law, we must retain business correspondence for six to ten years.

 

5. Spam protection with hCaptcha


We use the service “hCaptcha” to protect our contact form against automated submissions (spam). The provider is Intuition Machines, Inc., 1065 SW 8th St #704, Miami, FL 33130, USA.

hCaptcha checks whether an entry is made by a human or by a program. For this purpose, the service processes your IP address, information about your browser and device, the date and time, and your behaviour on the page, such as mouse movements, scroll position, keystrokes and touch events. hCaptcha may set technically necessary cookies for this.

Legal basis. Processing is based on our legitimate interest in protecting the website against misuse and spam (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG).

Transfer to the USA. Intuition Machines also processes the data in the USA. The company is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. In addition, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses apply; they are part of the data processing agreement included in hCaptcha’s terms of service.

6. Fonts


This website uses fonts that are stored on our own server. No connection to servers of Google or other font providers is established when the page is loaded.

 

7. Your rights


You have the following rights in relation to your personal data:
  • access to the data stored and information about its processing (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR), see section 8
  • withdrawal of consent you have given, with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR)

To exercise a right, simply send an informal message to info@innocentric.de or to our postal address.

No automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR takes place.

Right to lodge a complaint. You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the authority at your place of residence (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is the Saxon Data Protection and Transparency Commissioner (Sächsische Datenschutz- und Transparenzbeauftragte) in Dresden, www.datenschutz.sachsen.de.

 

8. Right to object


Where we process your data on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you may object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21(1) GDPR).

We will then no longer process the data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

9. Changes to this privacy policy


We update this privacy policy when the legal situation or the functions of our website change. The version published here applies.
